about

This purely instrumental album by the keyboard-jazz wizard Dx-Digital is a dive back in the beginnings of electronic music and giving an ode to a genre that has not been given its proper recognition. Post Disco/Boogie/Electrofunk is a style that has evolved out of jazz and Disco music from the 70s and came to new heights in the 80s with the use of more electronic sounds and excessive use of synth bass where the keyboard wizards from back then could show their skills.
Additionally to the pristine soundscape of the 80s boogiefunk (“Flashback”, “Trayn”, “Paul Artcastle”), Dx-Digital added a lowkey jazzy synthballad (“Let Go”), an ode to 2 well known Synthwavers (“The Start” & “Lonely Rider”), a quirky downtempo song, reminiscent of a well know computer game (“Cs Italy”) and a sequel to a song from the 2019 released Album “Berlin Nights” with the title “Sad Girls 2”.
This album is a mixture of nostalgia and bridging the way into the new times. Lean in and enjoy the warm feeling of flashbacks to a time before now, only existing in the backrooms of our minds.
